Transseptal catheterization via right subclavian vein.

چکیده

A method of transseptal catheterization of the left side of the heart via the right subclavian vein has been described. It was attempted in 29 patients and the left atrium was entered in 26 patients. The left ventricle was entered in 2I of the 23 patients (9I%) where entry was attempted. The risks and advantages of this technique have been discussed. It is a useful additional method for catheterization of the left side of the heart.
